The community-based day services program at the Career & Community Exploration Center offers comprehensive and enriching day and employment services for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. New England Village utilizes a person-centered approach in developing a plan for each individual to engage in vocational training that builds skills, is rewarding, and provides opportunities for community membership.

Person-Centered Approach to Career Exploration & Planning
Individuals not currently working receive complementary supports in our integrated Community-Based Day Services (CBDS) program. Utilizing a person-centered approach toward career exploration and planning, the CBDS program employs a variety of tools, including skills training and other community-based experiences, all of which can serve as a pathway toward employment. Program offerings are highly customized and are established based on an individual’s personal interests and motivation.
CBDS programs include:
- Volunteerism
- Community outings
- Vocational and life skills curriculum
- Fitness
- Art and music
- Aquatics
